A woman with dreadlocks and jewelry is sitting on a green couch, smiling at the camera. She is wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. There are framed pictures hanging on the brown wall behind her, including one of two women in yellow suits and hats, and another of a woman in a cow-printed outfit and hat. There is also a framed poster with text and a vintage microphone illustration.

Meet the Host

Janice (pronounced like “Denise” with a “J”) Clarke is the creator and host of A Soft Place to Land, a podcast built on honest conversations about the hard seasons we live through and the quiet ways we learn to rebuild. She believes in the power of real stories. Not polished… not perfect… just human, and in the kind of healing that happens slowly, intentionally, and with a lot of compassion.

Janice started this podcast because she knows what it feels like to navigate life’s heavier chapters and still want to choose hope. Her work centers softness, curiosity, and care, and she’s committed to creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and a little less alone.
